This exquisite textile belonged to a master weaver from Bonwire village in Ghana. It was woven from 22 strips of silk threads. Each strip is at least 6 or more feet in length. The design of each strip combines single, double and triple motif patterns that were then sewn together. Generally, this much textile is worn by a man of means.
